Zach Caldwell is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Director of Photography from Maine. He was one of the first TV camera operators to arrive at the scene of the attack in Charlottesville, 2017, and for this work he was recognized as a finalist for a Rory Peck Award. In addition to DP'ing nearly a hundred segments for VICE News Tonight on HBO, Zach has shot for Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain, ESPN and Tribeca Film Institute, where he taught cinematography. His work has taken him to some of the most challenging places in the world - Libya, the remote Ecuadorian Amazon, Northern Rakhine State in Myanmar, and Haiti, among others. Zach carries a Part 107 Drone Pilot's license, HEFAT certification and an SDI Open Water Scuba Diver license. He lives in NYC.
